Do you know you can make your own protein powder at home using a few ingredients? We spoke to Nutritionist NICK RANA and he shared that homemade protein powders are much beneficial and very easy to make. So, the expert shared a quick recipe of protein powder with us. Read on.


How To Make Protein Powder At Home?

👉 Ingredients Required ðŸ‘ˆ

👉10-15 makhana 

👉10 almonds 

👉2 walnut 

👉1 tsp fennel seeds 

👉Mishri- 1tsp 

👉Green cardamom - 2 

👉Kesar -2 strands 

👉Black pepper - 1 pinch 

👉Mix seeds -1 spoon


Directions

Dry roast badam or almonds and makhana on a pan and take off flame. 

Once cool, blend with all the other ingredients to get a powder-like consistency. 

Transfer to a clean glass container. 

Add 1 tbsp of this powder to a glass of milk, stir and drink up.

Nutritionist NICK RANA shared, "This is a great replacement for those sugary chocolate drinks which is harmful for kids. To give it a bit chocolaty flavour, we can add cacao powder." 

He further shared, "This homemade protein powder also helps for elderly back and joint pain and also works well for people with weak eye sight." 

The three key ingredients used in the preparation of this protein powder - makhana or foxnuts, walnuts and almonds are super healthy and benefit us in many ways.

Almond is a nutrient rich nut and great for our overall health. 100 gram of almonds contain about 21.15 gram of protein. It is a great source of not just protein but many other essential vitamins and nutrients like iron, calcium, vitamin E, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus among others.

Makhanas are believed to be one of the healthiest snacks. They are rich in protein, manganese, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus which are all essential for a healthy functioning of our body. Also, makhanas are low in calories so they help in promoting weight loss.

Walnuts too are a great source of protein. About 1/4 cup of walnuts contains 4.5 grams of protein. Walnuts are also great for your heart, they are a rich source of omega 3 fatty acids. 


Though this protein powder recipe uses just natural ingreidents which shouldn't have any side effects, it is best you consult your doctor before consuming it if you are under medication or undergoing a health treatment.
